Asia deserves to be
read in full.
The purpose, operating model and governance of Asia Press Centre Group — a Singapore-registered media holding operating English-language titles across Asia.
Covered continuously, knowledgeably, and in English.
Much of what the world reads about Asia is written from somewhere else. Coverage of the region in the international press is often episodic: a crisis, a deal, an election, and then silence. Yet the decisions being made in Asia — in its boardrooms, ministries, ports and studios — increasingly set the terms for everyone else.
Asia Press Centre Group was founded on a simple position: the region should be covered continuously, knowledgeably and in English — by a media group owned in the region and accountable for what it publishes.
We are not a single newspaper. We are a holding company that builds and operates specialist titles, each serving one professional or consumer community well, rather than one general title trying to serve them all.
The holding provides what is common. The titles provide what must be distinct.
The Group is structured as a holding company in Singapore that owns and coordinates a portfolio of English-language titles. The holding provides what is common to all: editorial standards, commercial partnerships, production infrastructure and administration. The titles provide what must be distinct: their own editorial focus, their own readership, and their own judgement about what matters in their field.
This structure has a practical consequence for partners. Commercial relationships are held at Group level — one agreement, one point of contact — while the work itself appears in the specific titles whose readers a partner needs to reach.
No title in the portfolio outranks another. The only meaningful difference between them is the audience each serves.
A media group that asks to be trusted should be easy to hold to account.
Ours is organised accordingly.
A clear legal identity
The Group operates through Asia Press Centre Pte. Ltd., an exempt private company limited by shares, registered in Singapore under UEN 202625793W, with its registered office at 470 North Bridge Road, #05-12, Bugis Cube, Singapore 188735. Its registered activities are advertising activities and news agency activities.
Separation of editorial and commercial at governance level
The distinction between journalism and commercial content is not left to individual discretion. It is built into how the Group is run: newsroom decisions and commercial decisions follow separate lines of responsibility, and commissioned content is produced through a studio function that sits outside the newsrooms. The full rules are set out in our Editorial Standards.
Compliance in every market
The Group commits to operating within the laws and regulatory frameworks of each market in which it works, including those governing press activity, advertising and taxation.
Four commitments, kept daily.
Accuracy before speed
Being first is worth little if it has to be corrected. Our titles verify before they publish, and say so plainly when they cannot.
Independence
Readers must be able to trust that editorial judgement is not for sale. That trust is the entire value of the network, and we do not spend it.
Clarity
We write so that busy, capable readers understand quickly. Jargon is a tax on the reader; we try not to levy it.
Accountability
We publish our standards, we label commercial work, we correct our errors, and we put our legal identity where anyone can check it.
